DECTRIS was founded in October 2006 in Switzerland as a spin-off company of the Paul Scherrer Institut (PSI). The founders of DECTRIS were the driving forces of the development of the single-photon counting technology at PSI and DECTRIS has the exclusive rights for the usage of this technology. Although it is an independent company, DECTRIS remains closely linked to PSI to stay at the cutting edge of the development of X-ray detectors.

We develop, produce and calibrate our detector systems at our premises in Switzerland in order to be able to deliver highest possible quality products. We attach great importance to the support of our customers and believe that our advanced detector systems and application know-how can significantly benefit the customers application.
