The PILATUS 300K-W detector system with its wide rectangular area is a revolutionary detector for small and wide-angle X-ray scattering, 2-D texture analysis and powder diffraction. The asymmetric design of the housing allows to position the detector very close to the direct beam.
It is based on the newly developed CMOS hybrid-pixel technology and operates in single-photon counting mode. It excels with its high frame rate and the outstanding capabilities which are common to all DECTRIS detector systems.
The PILATUS 300K-W detector system is air-cooled and therefore very simple in its operation and handling. It is ready to use and comes as a complete system with detector, PC with Linux OS and the data acquisition and analysis software TVX. Two different configurations are available: standard and fast. It can be also equipped with only 2 modules.
