Industrial

Hybrid Photon Counting (HPC) detectors have transformed measurements in synchrotron and diffraction applications over the past 10 years. Now, HPC is available for industrial X-ray scanners and imaging systems. HPC detectors’ unique ability to acquire noise-free images with virtually unlimited dynamic range, plus their single-pixel point spread functions, helps provide best-in-class industrial imaging quality.

In addition, the technology was extended with additional thresholds per pixel (up to 4 in total). This gives the detector the ability to acquire images in up to four energy bands in a single exposure — enabling spectral methods such as material discrimination. By incorporating HPC detectors in your x-ray scanners, more can be detected in a shorter time. Contact us to discuss your industrial imaging application.

X-Ray Inspection

X-ray inspection encompasses all automated methods used to inspect a test item’s internal features. Read more

Security

Security X-ray imaging has been the main method to detect concealed threats in baggage and cargo for many years. Read more

Laue diffraction

Ever observed a fighter jet at its most agile, flying curves impossibly tight, accelerating and decelerating so fast it makes your head spin? Or ever wondered how a 500 ton plane can be lifted into the air?  Modern aircrafts require extremely powerful and efficient engines. Read more ...

Residual Stress XRD

Mechanical failure of metals and ceramics is often caused by deformations in crystal structure (strain) or of phase transformation, which are induced by external stresses. These structural changes are preferably quantified using a non-destructive technique such as X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD). Read more

Spectroscopy

DECTRIS’ HPC-detectors feature extremely small strips or pixels and large active areas. This makes them ideal for collecting the high-resolution data over an energy range of several KeV in a single shot. Read more ...
