Congratulations to Brad Keywell for winning WEOY 2019!

Uptake Technologies founder Brad Keywell was named EY World Entrepreneur of the Year 2019 in Monaco on June 8. DECTRIS CEO Dr. Christian Brönnimann was also in the running representing Switzerland, and, although the judges must have had a hard time selecting one from such many success stories, Brönnimann agrees Brad’s victory was well deserved.

Brad Keywell founded the predictive software company Uptake Technologies in 2014, and the US company became the fastest startup to reach a USD 2 billion valuation. Altogether 47 entrepreneurs from around the world joined the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2019 event in Monaco, and the week culminated in a gala dinner on Saturday, June 8, where the winner was announced.

DECTRIS CEO Christian Brönnimann won the Swiss EY Entrepreneur Of The Year title in October 2018, and he was sent as the Swiss delegate to the global competition in Monaco. Ernst & Young noted the dominating market position DECTRIS has in life science applications and the company’s impact on scientific breakthroughs like the Zika vaccine or a PET-destroying enzyme. Furthermore, DECTRIS puts an exceptionally large amount of its turnover into research and development.

Once more from DECTRIS: congratulations to Brad Keywell!
