Nicolas Pilet starts at DECTRIS as Account Manager Specific Solutions

The DECTRIS Marketing and Sales is pleased to welcome Nicolas Pilet as Account Manager Specific Solutions in the team. Nicolas is an experimental physicist with his heart and soul. While studying physics at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, Nicolas was already developing a novel technique that opened new horizons in the study of the thermoelectric effect. During his PhD at Basel University, he worked with highly sophisticated instruments in ultra-high vacuum, at liquid helium temperature and in high magnetic fields.

From there on, he never stopped taking up challenges to develop state-of-the-art instrumentation. For instance, at the Swiss Light Source, he developed and brought into user operation a worldwide unique end station that combines X-ray and atomic force microscopy. His vast know-how in hardware development together with his experience in supporting users as a beamline scientist provides him with a very good understanding of all perspectives, from the manufacturer to the end user.
