DECTRIS PILATUS3 S

DECTRIS PILATUS3® S 172-µm-pixel detectors make hybrid-pixel technology accessible to virtually any synchrotron beamline and budget. They are the optimal choice for scientists who are looking for excellent data from a fast detector, but do not require the ultimate frame rate. Just like any PILATUS3 synchrotron detector, S systems offer noise-free detection of X-rays within an energy range of 5 - 36 keV; ideal counting statistics enabled by a sharp, single-pixel point-spread function; and an image frame rate of 25 Hz. They come with a silicon sensor that is either 450 or 1,000 µm thick.

PILATUS3 S detectors can also be used as a gateway to PILATUS3 X technology, as they can be upgraded to the corresponding PILATUS3 X detectors on-site, with minimal downtime.

Fast & precise: these detectors offer single-photon counting, with a count rate up to 10⁷ ph/s/pixel and an image frame rate of 25 Hz.
