Offering optimal signal-to-noise ratio, excellent point-spread function and the ultimate count rates of more than 10 million counts per second at 12 keV thorough the PILATUS3 ASIC. The PILATUS3 S 2M is the ideal MX detector where frame rates up to 25 Hz are required. Furthermore, the system provides a sensitive area of 253.7 x 288.8 mm2 for single crystal diffraction, SAXS experiments and coherent diffraction imaging. The systems can be upgraded on-site to X performance, i.e. 250 Hz, and region-of-interest readout with minimal downtime.
