The PILATUS3 X 300K-W CdTe with its elongated rectangular area is perfectly suited for WAXS and powder diffraction. The system provides optimal efficiency for high-energy applications. Any experiment above 20keV will benefit from the great stopping power of the CdTe sensor.
The extremely slim profile of the housing allows you to position the detector close to the direct beam and results in an ideal detector for measuring the WAXS signal in a SAXS/WAXS setup. Like the 300K, the PILATUS3 X 300K-W also features vacuum compatibility as an option.
