The Histogram shows the intensity distribution. The color bar below allows for deducing the color representation of the intensities. The grey area on the left (right) hand side defines the background (foreground). Pixels with intensities within the background region (foreground region) are drawn in the background color (foreground color). In between the pixel values are linearly mapped to a color scale specified by the color mode settings (see Color Mode Settings below). The fore- and background may be set by clicking inside its specific region within the histogram and dragging the mouse cursor. By clicking between fore- and background and dragging the mouse fore- and background are set parallelly. Alternatively use the spin boxes.
Display 3D profile of the current image section. As in 2D mode the image may be moved by dragging the mouse keeping the left button pressed and scaled by scrolling. In addition dragging while keeping the middle button pressed lets you rotate the image.

Highlight regions of the same resolution, which is defined as
, where

is the angle between the incident and scattered ray.
Show within a window next to the cursor the following values of the current cursor position:
If checked defective pixels are highlighted green (rainbow colors: black).
If checked pixels with values greater or equal than the saturation value (count cutoff) are highlighted blue (rainbow colors: white).
