The EIGER2 R CdTe 500K puts all the advantages of Hybrid Photon Counting (HPC) technology and the high quantum efficiency of a cadmium-telluride sensor into a highly affordable form. This detector combines a large active area (77 x 39 mm2) for great versatility, small pixels for high resolution, and unsurpassed count rates for accurate measurements of even the highest intensities. Its dual energy discrimination, in combination with simultaneous read/write, allows for extensive background suppression and a high dynamic range at the same time. Maintenance-free and featuring optional vacuum compatibility, the EIGER2 R CdTe 500K is an upgrade on any scientific instrument for high-energy Single-Crystal or X-ray Powder Diffraction, SAXS/WAXS, and microCT Imaging.
