The EIGER2 R 1M is a versatile yet highly affordable detector for laboratory applications, such as chemical crystallography, macromolecular crystallography and small-angle X-ray scattering. It packs 1 million hybrid pixels for direct detection into an active area of 77 by 80 mm2. Its small and extremely sharp point-spread function allows for a wide coverage of 2θ- or q-space with high resolution at close detector distances. Furthermore, the EIGER2 R 1M features all other benefits of advanced HPC technology. Dual energy discrimination allows for suppression of low and high energy background while single-photon counting ensures zero detector background for best possible data.
