The EIGER2 X 1M with roughly 1000 x 1000 pixels is the detector of choice for dynamic methods. Photon correlation spectroscopy, time-resolved SAXS, and novel spot-scanning-based imaging techniques (ptychography, SAXS computed tomography) greatly benefit from the speed of the detector and the accuracy of the data it produces. The optional vacuum compatibility increases the suitability of the EIGER2 X 1M detector for applications where comprehensive background reduction is critical.
