Andreas Förster Grant
Paths to scientific excellence
Support of scientific communities may have many facets, but most of them have a common denominator: an aim to learn, collaborate and share. Also DECTRIS award relies on the same principles, and it supports innovative researchers to share their findings with a broader audience. However, for many people a path to scientific excellence is more difficult, or even improssible. It is not easy to fill this gap, so every contribution counts: donations, sponsoring of schools, direct support of students, or a simple, good conversation.
Andreas Förster Travel Grant
Andreas Förster Travel Grant is another step to support less-privileged scientists. The grant focuses on students and researchers up to postdoc level, who aim to learn and share their knowledge by attending or schools, workshops or conferences. The grant of 1500 CHF will be awarded twice per year and the main criterion for application is that the applicant comes from a country which is not within the 50 leading countries in GDP.
The call for 2022 applications will be out soon.
